Home > People > Joan Serras > Milton Keynes' TRANSIMS Simulation

The first clip shows the evolution of the aggregate number of vehicles on all road links every 15 minutes (legend on the right-hand side) during the whole simulating period: 24 hours. The AM and PM peaks are obvious on the clip.

The second clip displays the position of every vehicle in the simulation every 30 seconds in the Milton Keynes road network. Each vehicle is coloured according to their speed (values from the legend are in m/s). The simulation period is again 24 hours. TRANSIMS simulates the movements of cars at every second, however the size of the resulting output is too large to show here.

Note for Firefox users: the browser seems to have a problem displaying those videos (they are partly cut), I suggest you right-click on the screen while the clip is being played and zoom it to full screen.
