Main research interests, user centred design and elearning for design.
Project Manager for the JISC project AtelierD.
Member of the Design Innovation Group, research into consumer responses to sustainable products.
Researching perceptions of 3D objects on a 2D interface using eye-tracking technology.
Researching design teaching using electronic mediums including video podcasting, DVD and on-line conferencing.
CV
Have worked in a variety of roles within the Open University: as a tutor and course manager for design courses and 13 years as Staff Tutor with responsibility for the delivery of all Technology Faculty courses in the London Region.
Since 2001 have been a Central Academic in the Department of Design and Innovation and have contributed to the development of the courses in the Design and Innovation Diploma. This has included leading the introduction of extensive electronic resources to assist learning.
